Receiving an 8+ Overall Score
Better than a discount, if your project receives an 8+ overall score, you'll be offered additional hosting and evaluations for that project for free. More 8+ scores will result in more free hosting and evaluations. If you receive five 8+ overall scores, the Black List will host that project for free for as long as you'd like.
Overall Score Discrepancy
We know opinions on a project can sometimes vary widely, which can be a confounding experience when you're seeking feedback on your latest draft. If you receive two back-to-back evaluations with overall scores that differ by three or more points, we automatically offer the next evaluation at a discount: $60 for screenplays, one-hour pilots, plays, and musicals, and $45 for half-hour pilots.
Guild Membership
We offer a 20% discount on all services for verified Guild members.
General Fee Waivers
Our fee waivers are geared toward supporting Black List writers by providing one evaluation and one month of hosting on us! Writers are eligible to receive a general fee waiver once per year.
Program Waivers
Our partner programs frequently offer free hosting and evaluations as an automatic part of their submission process. We encourage writers to visit our active programs page to explore all available opportunities.
Referrals
Send invitations to writers in your network and get a $10 evaluation discount for every invitee who uses your referral link. They'll also get $10 off their first evaluation!
